Mr. Y P Singh was born on November 5, 1965, into a Rajput family in the village of Basatpur, Dhaulana, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, India. From humble beginnings, he completed his high school education in his village and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from a government college. Following his graduation, he became a reputed Chartered Accountant, known for his expertise in economics and his advisory role on corporate and income tax matters.

During his college days, Mr. Singh joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a swayamsevak in 1987. His active political career began in 2002 when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a cadre. In the same year, he became a part of the Yuva Morcha Rashtriya Karyakarini, marking the beginning of his journey as a dedicated and passionate leader.

Mr. Singh has held several leadership roles within the BJP, including Pradesh Mantri of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. While working as Pradesh Mantri, Mr. Singh served as Sah-Prabhari for the historic Sangathan Chunav and was involved in booth management works.

Current Role

In 2024, Mr. Singh was appointed as the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Construction and Infrastructure Development Corporation (UPSCIDCO), a prestigious position that reflects his dedication to public service and economic development. As the Chairman of UPSCIDCO, he has spearheaded several developmental projects and initiatives, contributing to the state's progress and prosperity.

Mr. Singh has been associated with the Sangathan for more than 22 years. He is an expert in economic topics and is a great orator, having participated in multiple seminars, forums, and jansabhas. By profession, Mr. Singh is a reputed Chartered Accountant with expertise in economics. He serves as an advisor on corporate and income tax matters.

Struggles and Activism

During the SP/BSP governments, Y. P. Singh was imprisoned for 40 days for protesting against cow slaughter (GauRaksha Andolan) in 2006. In 2011, he led a 40-kilometer-long march from Dhaulana to Hapur Collectorate Office with thousands of farmers from 70 villages. He fought multiple battles with the administration to prevent the unjust demolition of traders' establishments in Pilkhuwa.
